Dear customers,
According to the requirements of the General Administration of Customs of China, the new manifest declaration system of the customs will be officially switched from June 28, 2014, requiring all container cargoes entering China to make pre declaration of the new manifest to the customs of China 24 hours before loading at the port of departure.
In order to successfully complete the cargo transportation and customs clearance process and meet the requirements of new manifest declaration of China Customs, please provide the following manifest information accurately:
Ø name and address of consignee and consignor
Ø for "to order" bill of lading, provide the name and address of the Notifying Party
Ø detailed description of goods
Ø type of package, number of pieces and gross weight of goods
Box No
Box seal No
Ø UN dangerous goods code and IMDG number
If the above-mentioned complete and accurate manifest information cannot be submitted, the Chinese customs will issue a rejection order, which may cause subsequent customs clearance problems after the goods arrive at the Chinese port. The customs strictly requires that the declaration time limit be completed 24 hours before shipment, and the manifest information declared over time will be transferred to the manual review procedure of the customs.
From 24 hours before the shipment to the arrival of the goods at the port of destination in China, we do not recommend to modify the manifest information due to the restrictions of customs rules. If the customer requires to modify the manifest information, it is necessary to bear the overtime manifest declaration fees charged by the customs of various ports in China (such as Shanghai Customs) to the consignee at the import end, and bear the possible customs clearance risks and other potential risks after the arrival of the goods due to the modification of the manifest information. The client entrusts the port of departure agent to notify the Chinese unloading agent in writing, and the unloading agent shall submit the change application to the local customs.
For more information about the provisions of China's customs pre declaration manifest, please refer to order No. 172 of the General Administration of Customs of China
